Concept
Responding to the 2025 Global Game Jam theme, “Bubble,” we wanted to create a game where the main character is a boba pearl from bubble tea. This game shifts the perspective from humans to boba, offering a unique and playful twist.
Humans love chewing on little bobas, but from the bobas’ point of view, humans are terrifying creatures!
Visually and experientially, we aim to capture the squishy, jelly-like, and bouncy nature of boba pearls. The game’s physics and player controls should emphasize these properties, making movement fun, dynamic, and engaging!

Player Control
Jumping is the basic player operation mechanic of this game. However, boba’s jumping varies depending on the platform they are standing on. For example, when they’re on slippery ice cubes they couldn’t jump as much as when they were in fruit slice platforms!
2. Smashing!
Smashing is another operation that player can perform. Smashing can be used to swing your partner away from you, or it can be used to do super jump. There’re level designs that requires players to know how to perform super jump.
